Last week, I wrote a post that was fairly uncomfortable for me to write, announcing that I’d need to close BMS if I could not raise enough money to pay for hosting and related bills. While I care about you all deeply as readers, I know that you don’t know me from Jane Doe on the streets, so every donation, even of just a few dollars, was overwhelmingly appreciated (and will continue to be appreciated).
It is now after Christmas. Did my Christmas wish come true?
Yes. Although I still foresee some tight budging over the next several months, someone, a perfect stranger to me, has come forward and offered to host my website for free on his servers. At this point, I’m staying hushed about who that is, but I hope I can tell you all in the future so you can visit his site(s) as well!
I did want to say something further, though, on the subject of donations.
Since I first started this blog, I’ve met a number of wonderful people in the sex blogging community (some who are just readers and some who write as well). Very rarely do any of the bloggers I know get paid to run their websites. At most, you may see affiliate programs for sex toys and porn sites, but true sponsors for sex bloggers are rare. It isn’t like in some industries where webmasters can name their prices for advertising space, and even when given the choice, many sex bloggers don’t want ads cluttering what are often very personal journeys into the world of kink.
So, as a reader, please donate if you can when you see a button on a site you enjoy, especially if you find yourself coming back again and again, don’t like to comment, or routinely masturbate to their writing. I’m not just talking about my site…I’m talking about any "amateur" sex blog you enjoy.
After all, these are people who are taking time to share something really personal with you to entertain you or help you on your own sexual journeys. Money is tight for everyone, but keep in mind that even $1 shows people that you care. And if you honestly don’t have $1 to spare? Promote something they’ve written on your own blog if you have one or send them an email telling them how much you appreciate them. Trust me…it means a lot.
I’m still working on the details, but I think my Christmas wish was fulfilled. That said, I’m still offering "Christmas gifts" in exchange for donations (read about the here) until Valentine’s Day. I’ve given out some gifts already, and I think that all of the recipients were pleased!

Just wanted to say that I (or actually, my Master) was the recipient of one of Rori’s wonderful Christmas gifts… and it was honestly worth so much more than the small donation I was able to make. So if anyone is considering donating, trust me, you will definitely be pleased with your gift
Thanks again, Rori!!!

Kinda makes you believe in karma doesn’t it.
I was feeling badly for sending a plant before I knew you needed cash.
I’m very glad things are working out.
Keep well. And thanks again for all your help.
