Note: You don’t need to actually masturbate or play with someone to review these cuffs, so I thought it would fill the void a little while I’m sick and not able to review more fun sex toys or write fantasies well. Enjoy!
I’m skeptical of anything pink.
I’m skeptical of anything furry.
I’m skeptical of a company that uses spellings like “Grrl” and “Toyz”.
So when Twisted Miss offered to send me Naughty Grrl Toyz Pink Plush Cuffs, I agreed to review, but I didn’t have a lot of hope for liking the product. They just seemed liked they’d be a silly, vanilla rendition of what someone into BDSM would really want from restraints.
I even remarked to a friend, sarcastically, that I was sure these would be super fun to use.
Allow me to open wide and eat my words. Every last, humbled spoonful.
Yes, the cuffs are pink. Yes, the cuffs are furry. Yes, the company that makes them uses retarded ways of spelling certain words. But you know what? I’ll be damned if these aren’t comfortable, strong, pretty cuffs.
First, let me address the fur. It’s fake. Let me address the leather. It’s fake, too. So, animal lovers, rejoice. Of course, that does mean that the quality isn’t quite what you’d get with real leather, but you’d also pay out the ass for pink leather cuffs like these, and I don’t know about you, but I’m on a budget.
Also, Naught Grrl Toyz is part of Topco Sales, which has started a process to go green. I like that. It makes me feel good about recommending their products. If you love the pink look, Twisted Miss has an entire line of Naught Grrl Toyz that you can buy, including a Pink Plush Erotic Whip and a Pink Plush Blindfold Mask.
But back to the cuffs. There are actually two sizes – cuffs for ankles and cuffs for wrists. Make sure you order the right ones. The cuffs for your wrists are smaller and have a 6-inch chain connecting them, while the cuffs for your ankles are larger and have a 22-inch chain connecting them. In both cases, you can remove the chain, so you’re left with just cuffs.
In terms of size…if you have big wrists, you might want to go for two sets of ankles instead. My wrists are on the bigger size of average, and I can see how some people with extremely large wrists may have a problem.
On the other hand, the ankle version seem to be very size- friendly, so I don’t think you’d have a problem there. If they’re too big for your wrists it would be easy enough to punch an extra hole for the buckle to make them a little smaller. Personally, I think two sets of the ankle cuffs is the way to go unless you have tiny wrists.
The chain that connects the cuffs (for both ankles and wrists) is NOT designed to hold any kind of weight. To be honest, I could see the links snapping during really intense play. That’s not to say that the chains are horrible quality – they’re just light. For most of you, that will actually be optimal. If you are a really strong struggler, you could always remove the chains and attach your own or attach rope.
Keep in mind that these cuffs don’t serve as handcuffs unless you switch out the chains. I could easily free myself if I wanted to. But a well-trained sub would never be cheeky enough to do that, right?!? I actually like that feature, to be honest. If you and your play partner are new to bondage, it’s comforting to know that you do have a little control in case things get out of hand. For a sub who hasn’t known her dom for years and years, it’s important to be safe, and for a vanilla couple, it’s a good introduction into bondage that doesn’t put too much pressure on either person.
So should you buy these cuffs? Well, if you’re a seasoned BDSM couple, you may have outgrown them in terms of bondage restraints in the bedroom, but at the end of the day, they’re still very pretty and feminine. I could definitely see a sub being made to wear these sans chain when out and about or with the chain around the house, just as a reminder of her place. Or his place. Some pink, furry cuffs could be perfect to humble a male sub.
For those new to BDSM or newly in a relationship, this is about as perfect as you’re going to get at this price point. You can definitely spend more on real leather cuffs and higher quality hardware, but I don’t see the point in doing that until you’re in a stable relationship and ready to explore bondage together at a much higher level.

Pretty in pink!
Just bought the ankle cuffs for my wrists… to discover they do barely fit my ankles too (was very surprised, my ankles are not slender). Only thing I don’t like is now I have to go back to the store to get another pair
